Recently I was asked to stand-in and attend a lunchtime concert at LSO St Lukes Old Street, having once worked along this vibrant street I was looking forward to a personal reunion. Exiting the tube station, momentarily disorientated by redevelopment, I realize I’d spent 18 months walking past a building that hadn’t registered in my memory.
The shape and shades of colour used for the newly decorated music venue blended perfectly with the selection of music ranging from composer and remarkable suffragette Ethel Smythe to Holberg Suite, I voluntary allow myself to be transported in natural sound and vision.
